For those interested in fishing and shooting Glenshieling House is well located with great facilities close by. It is also on the road to Glenshee (about 40 minutes) and the slopes provide good skiing for both beginners and the more experienced.
There is a host of top quality golf courses nearby and over the Spital of Glenshee lies Braemar, site of the famous annual Highland Gathering. From Glenshieling the splendours of Royal Deeside can be enjoyed. Notably Balmoral Castle, the autumn residence of the Royal Family; Glamis Castle, childhood home of the late Queen Mother; Blair Atholl; and, Scone Palace.
